Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) is located in the southwestern part of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. It is approximately 20 kilometers away from the city center, where the Wenshu Yuan Monastery is located.
To get from CTU to the Wenshu Yuan Monastery by subway, you can follow these steps:
1. Take subway line 10 at L4 exit in terminal 2 in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. The subway departs about every 6 minutes and operates from 6.14 to 23.25.
2. After 5 stops, transfer to line 3 at Taipingyuan Station (太平园站), and take it in the direction of Chengdu Medical School (Chengdu Yixueyuan, 成都医学院). The transfer takes about 2 minutes.
3. After 4 stops, transfer to line 1 at Sichuan Stadium Station (Sheng Tiyu Guan 省体育馆站), and take it in the direction of Weijianian (韦家碾). You need to walk about 135 meters to complete the transfer.
4. Finally, get off the subway from Wenshu Yuan Monastery Station (文殊院站), get out of the station from Exit K, and walk about 100 meters along the road to the north to reach the entrance of the temple.
The whole jouney costs 6 RMB, takes about 51 mintues, and involves 821 meters’ walking. It should be the most cost-effective and quickest way to reach the attraction, especially during peak hours when traffic congestion is inevitable.
