Erhaiyue Wetland Park (洱海月湿地公园, Erhai Moon Wetland Park), located on the western shore of Erhai Lake in Dali City, Yunnan Province, is a vibrant and dynamic wetland park. With a total area of moderate size, stretching approximately 1000 meters from north to south and 200 meters from east to west, it offers convenient access for visitors to explore.

The park is adorned with a variety of facilities including small bridges over flowing streams, wetland boardwalks, and leisure pavilions, providing visitors with a diverse range of recreational experiences. Along the pathways and beside small rivers, willow trees cast cool shadows, imbuing every corner with the refreshing tranquility of nature. The air here is crisp, the scenery enchanting, making it an ideal destination for locals seeking relaxation, leisure, and cultural entertainment.

Erhaiyue Wetland Park also serves as an excellent vantage point to admire the moonrise over Erhai Lake. Whether it’s witnessing the sunrise over the lake or gazing at the setting sun behind Cangshan Mountain, this place offers unparalleled visual delights. Moreover, the wetland park is a haven for birdwatching and bird photography enthusiasts, who often spot photographers capturing the beautiful moments of migratory birds with their cameras.

In addition to enjoying the natural scenery, visitors can relax by the lakeside grassland, picnic, fly kites with family and friends, or take leisurely strolls along the lakeshore, experiencing the charm of nature firsthand. The rich natural ecological resources here, including wetland plants and aquatic vegetation, provide visitors with opportunities to gain insight into wetland ecology and environmental conservation.

Furthermore, the construction of Erhaiyue Wetland Park reflects Dali City’s determination to protect the ecological environment of Erhai Lake. Through measures such as returning ponds to the lake, converting farmland back to forests, and converting buildings back to wetlands, the park has completed the ecological restoration of the lakeside belt of Erhai Lake, making outstanding contributions to the protection of Erhai Lake.
