Fuxi Mountain Grand Canyon (伏羲山大峡谷) is located in Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. It is characterized by its typical red rock canyon landscape. Fuxi Mountain is part of the Songshan Mountain Range, extending eastward, with its main peak, Wuzhiling, standing at 1108.5 meters above sea level and spanning the entire Fuxi Mountain area. The climate in the scenic area is mild with distinct seasons, with an average annual temperature of 11.6°C, which is 2.7°C lower than that of the urban area. The vegetation in the area is dense and diverse, with lush greenery, and it includes dozens of ancient trees that are over a thousand years old. Among them, the ancient yang tree, known as the “living fossil plant,” is a unique species of tree found in Fuxi Mountain.
Throughout the year, the canyon is filled with flowing water, featuring waterfalls, cascades, deep pools, and calm lakes at the bottom, creating a serene and cool environment with diverse scenery. The enormous rocks in the canyon appear polished and smooth, resembling mirrors, providing visitors with the rare experience of a “rock bath.” On both sides of the canyon, towering rocks stand, with natural stone stairs hanging in the air, and various vivid images of people and animals carved into the rock walls.
With an area of 5.3 square kilometers, the canyon is divided into upper and lower sections, each offering distinct attractions. The upper section features scenic spots such as Wolong Terrace, Cultural Tunnel, Wangxiang Terrace, Bagua Terrace, Thousand-Year Chestnut Tree, Chestnut Fairy Temple, Nvwa Mending the Sky Site, Divine Turtle with Broken Legs, and Five-Colored Stone, showcasing the formation, development, dissemination, and influence of Fuxi culture on later generations. The lower section highlights attractions like Huanglong Pool, Huanglong Temple, Boqi Pool, Lulongguo Pool, Guanyun Waterfall (Dragon Shadow Waterfall), Bafen Pool, Turtle Worshiping for Longevity, Jiulong Pool, Totem Pillar, Mahtigou, Muyun Ladder, allowing visitors to deeply appreciate the beauty of the canyon and experience the marvels of nature.

Location and Transportation
Fuxi Mountain Grand Canyon is situated within the Fuxi Mountain Tourist Area, located approximately 20 kilometers northwest of Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan Province, near the Enjoyland Animal Kingdom. Visitors can conveniently reach the canyon by taking a high-speed train to Xinmi East Station and then transferring to a shuttle bus directly to the scenic area.
