Jingdezhen, known as the “Ceramics Capital” of China, has a long history and is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. The city is home to numerous scenic spots that showcase its unique ceramic culture. One notable site is the Hutian Ancient Kiln Ruins, which was one of the largest and most renowned porcelain production sites during the Five Dynasties, Song, and Yuan periods. It is also where some of the finest porcelain was produced. The Longzhu Pavilion, located on the site of the old Zhushan Hill, has become a symbol of the city. Additionally, the Xiangji Lane, a well-preserved Ming Dynasty alley in the city center, offers a glimpse into the city’s historical architecture.

The best time to visit Jingdezhen is in the autumn (late August to October), when the weather is mild and the rainfall is minimal. Visitors can also experience the annual Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair held in October, a perfect opportunity to see the true charm of this porcelain hub.
