Prince Gong’s Mansion, also known as Prince Kung’s Mansion, is a historic mansion located in the Xicheng District of Beijing, China. It is situated about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) northwest of the Temple of Heaven, which is located in the southern part of the city.

To get to Prince Gong’s Mansion from the Temple of Heaven, you have several transportation options:

Bus:

Exit from the east gate of the Temple of Heaven, walk about 100 meters to the north, take bus 60 at Fahuasi Stop (Fahua Temple, 法华寺), get off at Gulou Stop (Drum Tower, 鼓楼), and walk about 1.1 kilometers to the west to reach Prince Gong’s Mansion. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes and costs 2 RMB.

Subway:

Take subway line 5 at the east gate of the Temple of Heaven, transfer to subway line 6 at Dongsi Station (东四), get off at Beihaibei (Beihai North 北海北), and walk about 660 meters to the north to reach the mansion. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs 4 RMB.

Or you can also take subway line 8 at Tianqiao Station (天桥站) near the west gate of the Temple of Heaven, transfer to subway line 6 at Nanluoguxiang (南锣鼓巷), get off at Beihaibei, and follow the route above to reach the mansion. This option takes about 45 minutes and also cost 4 RMB.

Taxi:

Taxis are readily available in Beijing and are a convenient way to get around. From the Temple of Heaven, it should take around 45 minutes and 35 RMB by taxi, depending on traffic.
