The Lama Temple, also known as Yonghe Temple, is located in the northeastern part of Beijing, China. It is situated in Dongcheng District, specifically at No.12 Yonghegong Street, near the intersection of Yonghegong Street and Guozijian Street.

The distance between the Lama Temple and the Temple of Heaven is around 8 kilometers. There are several ways to get from the Temple of Heaven to the Lama Temple, including:

Bus:

Take bus 84 or 116 at Fahua Temple Stop (法华寺站) near the east gate of the Temple of Heaven, get off at Yonghegong Stop (Yonghe Lama Temple 雍和宫), and you will be standing right at the entrance.

Take bus 106 at the north gate of the Temple of Heaven, get off at Beixinqiao Lukou Nan Stop (北新桥路口南), and walk about 660 meters to the north to reach the Lama Temple.

Subway:

Take subway line 5 at Tiantan Dongmen Station (East Gate of the Temple of Heaven 天坛东门), get off at Yonghe Lama Temple Station, exit the station from Exit F, and you will see the entrance of the temple.

Taxi:

Taxis are readily available in Beijing and can be a convenient option for getting from the Temple of Heaven to the Lama Temple. The journey takes around 20-30 minutes and costs approximately 30 yuan. You can show the following text to the driver if you do not speak mandarin: “请带我到雍和宫”.
