Xi Shi’s hometown is a place full of historical charm. Xi Shi, the foremost of the Four Beauties of ancient China, was born in the village of Zhuluo at the foot of Zhuluo Mountain in Zhuji around 506 BC. Her story is closely linked to the history of King Goujian of Yue’s perseverance and revenge. For the rise the country, Xi Shi endured humiliation and sacrifice, becoming a beautiful legend in ancient Chinese history. In commemoration of this exceptional beauty, the Xi Shi Palace was built at the foot of Zhuluo Mountain, becoming a major attraction in Xi Shi’s hometown.

The architectural style of Xi Shi Palace is elegant and simple, reflecting the characteristics of ancient Yue-style halls. In the center of the palace stands a statue of Xi Shi, dressed plainly like a village girl but radiating innate beauty. In addition, the gatehouse, Ancient Yue Platform, Zheng Dan Pavilion, stele corridor, Red Powder Pool, Fish Submerged Pool, and Xianxian Pavilion are all unique attractions that collectively create the distinctive charm of Xi Shi’s hometown.

In addition to its historical and cultural landscapes, Xi Shi’s hometown also boasts beautiful natural scenery. Zhuluo Mountain is lush and green, while the Huaji River is clear and beautiful, surrounded by mountains and water, exuding the charm and beauty of Jiangnan everywhere. Visitors can stroll through winding corridors and paths, experiencing the charm of Jiangnan gardens, or take a boat ride on the Huaji River to enjoy the picturesque scenery on both banks.
