Although Jingan Villa and Tianzifang are located in two different districts in Shanghai, they are actually pretty close to each other, only 1.43 miles (2.3 kilometers) as the crow flies, and there are a variety of ways to travel between them.
Bus: Walk west from the North Gate of the Villa, turn right at the first cross, take bus No. 955 heading south at Shanxi Beilu Nanjing Xilu Stop (Shanxi North Road and Nanjing West Road), get off at Dapuqiao Stop, and walk 360 meters to the north to reach Tianzifang. The whole journey takes about 38 minutes.
Metro: Walk east from the South Gate of the Villa, turn right at the first cross, take subway line 12 at Nanjing Xilu Station (Nanjing West Road Station), transfer to subway line 9 at Jiashanlu Station (Jiashan Road Station), get off at Dapuqiao Station, and walk 280 meters to the north to reach Tianzifang. The whole journey takes about 21 minutes.
Self-Drive: Set off from the South Gate of the Villa, heading east on Weihai Road, turn right into Chengdu North Road, drive along North-South Elevated Road, turn right into Xujiahui Road, and right again into Taikang Road to reach Tianzifang. The whole journey takes about 16 meters.
Walk: Walk east from the South Gate of the Villa, turn right into Maoming North Road at the first cross, turn right into Yanan Middle Road, and right again into Ruijin Road. After 1.24 miles (2 kilometers), turn left into Taikang Road, and Tianzifang is right in front of you. The whole takes about 43 minutes.
