Hubin Pedestrian Street (湖滨路步行街) is situated at the boundary between West Lake and the city of Hangzhou. It not only offers panoramic views of the picturesque West Lake and its surrounding mountains but also provides an excellent vantage point to appreciate the changes in weather from sunny to cloudy, and even misty. Particularly during the rainy season, strolling along the lakeside amidst the drizzle creates a scene where the mist merges seamlessly with the water and sky.
This area serves as the grand hall and façade of Hangzhou, making it one of the most eye-catching spots in the city, especially at night. The streets lined with fashionable and innovative architectural styles have won numerous international design awards. Not far from the famous shopping street is the West Lake Music Fountain, a sight worth seeing. With the distant gem-like Baoshi Mountain illuminated by lights, the brightly lit Beishan Road, and the sparkling night sky over West Lake serving as the backdrop, the fountain adds a romantic atmosphere to the scene.
The Hubin Pedestrian Street area boasts four major commercial complexes:
Hubin Intime IN77: As the largest commercial complex within the Hubin Pedestrian Street area, it leads the commercial development of the entire street. It consists of five blocks: Block A focuses on international first-line brands and luxury goods; Block B introduces a variety of vibrant and trendy brands on the first and two underground floors; Block C is a comprehensive shopping mall, the largest shopping and dining hub in the Hubin area; Block D is dedicated to first-line cosmetics; Block E mainly targets tourists.
Yizhi Home (West Lake Times Square Store): Located at the intersection of Dongpo Road and Qingchun Road, integrated with West Lake, this shopping mall focuses on operating brand discount department stores, delivering a cost-effective lifestyle for the new era, and is loved by consumers for its urban discount department stores.
Hubin 88: Formerly known as “Lixing Square,” this complex collects memories of Hangzhou residents’ love for “shopping and eating.” After undergoing renovations both inside and outside the mall, it focuses on creating a lakeside gourmet space with a highlight on Southern Song culture, surrounding an art plaza by the lake. The mall also has a designated area introducing multiple well-known domestic Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) brands, becoming a must-visit spot for Hanfu enthusiasts.
Jiebai City Outlet: Located in the core area of Hubin Commercial District, it aims to create an outlet mall targeting young families as the main customer base, operating on a membership basis, and featuring a characteristic of new urban living.
