Lingnan Impression Park is situated at University Town Outer Ring West Road, Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It is located within the area that was once Lianxi Village. To get there, you can choose one of the following ways:
Bus: Take bus 997 or Fan 201 and get off at Lingnan Impression Park stop (岭南印象园站).
Metro: The closest metro station to Lingnan Impression Park is University Town South (大学城南) on line 7. After getting out of the station from Exit B, walk about 750 meters to the southeast to reach the attraction.

Lingnan Architecture
The residential buildings in Lingnan Impression Park are uniquely designed, with structures built along waterways. They feature narrow doors and tall houses, along with distinct architectural elements like the “锅耳墙” (Guo Er Wall), known for its shape resembling the handle of a cooking pot. In the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, only those with academic titles were allowed to construct these walls, with the height reflecting their official rank. Folklore suggests that these walls bring prosperity and success to descendants, symbolizing good fortune.
The park also showcases “蚝壳墙” (Oyster Shell Walls), commonly used by villagers in Lianxi Village, who utilize local materials for construction. These walls are built with a stone core and finished with a mixture of yellow clay and lime, affixed with oyster shells to maintain aesthetics while allowing rainwater drainage. Their unique structure provides durability, warmth in winter, coolness in summer, and resistance to fire and typhoons, making them a beloved feature of Lingnan architecture.

Lianxi Street offers a vibrant atmosphere filled with traditional performances such as lion dances, sugar blowing, dough figurine making, popcorn selling, street painting, and more. Additionally, the park hosts larger shows like “Impression: Lingnan,” featuring acrobatics and lion dances, which are free to watch and highly entertaining.

Visitors can enjoy traditional delicacies like beef brisket rice noodles (牛腩粉), bamboo noodles (竹升面), boat congee (艇仔粥), and pot cake (钵仔糕). Other sweet treats include double-skin milk (南信双皮奶), Ginger Milk Pudding (沙湾姜撞奶), and various desserts (各式糖水). While prices may be slightly higher than similar offerings outside, the difference is not significant, especially for street food. Lunchtime can get crowded, so it’s recommended to visit around 2 PM to enjoy a more relaxed dining experience.
