The Chimpanzee Pavilion is situated to the right of the main entrance of Nanning Zoo, opposite the old gibbon house. Originally constructed in 1998, the pavilion underwent renovations in 2015 due to wear and tear. The refurbishment included the addition of a 5-meter-high, two-story tree-like platform and suspended iron chain ladders, allowing the chimpanzees to exhibit climbing behaviors. The pavilion also features new enrichment facilities for food, a mountain spring stream landscape system, an educational corridor, and a revamped railing system.
