Qingdao Silver Beach Scenic Area (银沙滩海水浴场, Silver Sands Bathing Beach) stretches over 2,000 meters in a crescent shape, extending east to west, offering a natural bathing beach with clear waters and fine, even sand. Its name, “Silver Beach,” originates from the shimmering silver reflections under the sun, resembling a silver plate set against a backdrop of blue silk. Situated on the southern edge of the Yellow Sea and backed by black pine forests, the beach presents a harmonious combination of sunlight, sea, sand, and pine trees, forming a breathtaking panorama. It has become a prime destination for leisure and vacation.
In terms of facilities, Silver Beach is well-equipped with 20 lifeguards, one lifeboat, one wooden boat, and two professional medical rescue personnel to ensure visitor safety. Additionally, the beach is protected by a 1,800-meter shark net, supplemented with horizontal safety ropes and brightly colored floating lane lines to enhance swimming area safety. To safeguard water quality, the beach is equipped with 3,500 meters of seaweed interception nets.
Since the commencement of overall development in 2009, significant enhancements have been made. A 2,000-meter wooden boardwalk has been constructed, along with basic facilities such as public toilets and shower landscapes. Moreover, 12 wooden villa vacation homes have been built and made available for public use. Furthermore, the beach has intensified service and business skills training for staff, outsourced personnel, and lifeguards. Continuous efforts have been made to strengthen beach management, institutional development, plan revisions, and practical exercises, aiming to elevate team management proficiency.

Location and Transportation
Silver Beach is situated on the southwestern side of Fenghuang Island Tourist Resort, at Liansan Island Road, Huangdao District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. To get there, you can take bus Dong 3, Huangdao 50, Huangdao 808, or Huangdao 809 and get off at Silver Beach West Stop (银沙滩西站).
