Xuzhou Travel Guide
Xuzhou, a city steeped in history and renowned for tourism, is located in the northwest of Jiangsu Province, situated in the southeastern part of the North China Plain. It has been a crucial transportation hub since ancient times, earning the moniker “Gateway to Five Provinces.” With over 6000 years of civilization and a history of city construction dating back 2600 years, Xuzhou embodies both the robustness of the north and the beauty of the south, making it a uniquely charming tourist destination.
As the birthplace of the culture of the Eastern Han and Western Han Dynasties, Xuzhou is known for its rich cultural heritage, often referred to as the “Homeland of Pengzu, the Birthplace of Liu Bang, and the Former Capital of Xiang Yu.” The city boasts numerous cultural relics and historical sites, including Han-era terracotta warriors, tombs, and stone carvings, all of which are treasures of Xuzhou’s historical culture. Additionally, Xuzhou offers natural landscapes such as Longhu Lake, Yunlong Mountain, Pengzu Garden, Hubu Mountain, and Pan’an Lake, as well as cultural attractions like the Xuzhou Museum and the Huaihai Campaign Martyrs Memorial Tower and Garden.

Day1: From Xuzhou East to Bao Lian Temple ➡️ in the afternoon visit Xuzhou Museum (Qianlong Palace at the entrance) ➡️ around 4 o’clock climb Yulong Mountain, Yulong Lake, dinner at A Zhe Mi Xian ➡️ Yibai Night… Read more »

Accommodation: Depending on personal preferences, staying close to the city center is a good option, but actually staying along the subway line is more convenient. Transportation: Taking the subway or public electric vehicles is recommended. If you’re driving, it’s best not to drive into the city center as parking can be difficult and expensive. Sightseeing: Cloud Dragon Mountain cableway, Xuzhou Museum, Cloud Dragon Lake, Pengcheng Style, Hushan Mountain, Huilong Wo, Peng Garden, Baolian Temple, Xuzhou Paradise, Xuzhou Fantawild, Zhongshuge bookstore…… Read more »
