Its main attractions include Sanhe Town, Fengling Village, and two studios, Studio 1 and Studio 2, with a total area of ​​7,500 square meters. The architectural style of Zhongyuan Film and Television City is rustic, showcasing the cultural heritage of the Central Plains region and the Yellow River culture. It serves as an integrated base for film and television production, entertainment, leisure, and tourism. The city was built for the filming of “The Great River Children,” and scenes such as the courtyards of the protagonists He Yansheng and Ye Dingsan’s families, as well as scenes from the Jun kiln, have been preserved.

Location and Transportation

Zhongyuan Film and Television City is located at the northeastern corner of Fanhe Village, Guangwu Town, Xingyang City, Zhengzhou, Henan Province. To get there, you can take bus routes such as 322, 722, 577, and 723. The final stop is Guxing Town Government. From there, it’s a 10-minute taxi ride to Zhongyuan Film and Television City.

Sanhe Town

Sanhe Town, located at the southern end of Zhongyuan Film and Television City (opposite the ticket office), covers an area of ​​approximately 26,000 square meters with a building area of about 5,000 square meters. It comprises a group of ancient buildings with the cultural background of the town’s residential areas and streets from the 1930s and 1940s. The architectural design follows the set construction methods of film and television dramas, featuring three main streets, one auxiliary street, all paved with bluestones. On both sides of the streets, there are various shops including the “First Restaurant Under Heaven,” bell tower, opera house, teahouse, academy, podium, dye house, pawnshop, Guandi Temple, and train station.


Fengling Village

Fengling Village, situated at the northern end of Zhongyuan Film and Television City (behind the ticket office), is a group of ancient buildings with the cultural background of rural residential areas from the 1930s and 1940s. Surrounded by mountains, Fengling Village features courtyard houses, thatched cottages, cave dwellings, and a racetrack. The houses are arranged without strict planning, varying in length, height, and orientation depending on the geographical conditions.


Film and Television Studios

Studio 1 is located on the west side of Zhongyuan Film and Television City (adjacent to Fenglingzhai), measuring 60 meters in length, 50 meters in width, and 26 meters in height, with a building area of 3000 square meters. It serves as an indoor shooting location for film and television crews, featuring courtyard houses, government offices, reception halls, restaurants, and corridors from the 1930s and 1940s. The interior space is partitioned with board walls, curtains, various flower covers, and antique shelves, creating various-sized spaces, some even with added corridors and multiple levels.

Studio 2, also situated on the west side of Zhongyuan Film and Television City (behind Studio 1), is 90 meters long, 50 meters wide, and 26 meters high, with a building area of 4500 square meters. It features military barracks and prison cells from the 1930s and 1940s, suitable for setting up large-scale scenes for film and television productions.
