Chishui Bamboo Forest (赤水竹海) is located in Chishui City, Guizhou Province, covering a total area of 11,930 hectares. Situated at the northern foothills of Dalou Mountain, it lies in the transitional zone between the Guizhou Plateau and the Sichuan Basin. The highest peak, Huluping, stands at an elevation of 1,730 meters. The predominant soil type is sandy purple soil, and the area experiences a subtropical humid monsoon climate. The vegetation mainly consists of subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests, with over 1,000 species of vascular plants from more than 200 genera and 80 families, as well as 345 species from 102 families across 46 orders of wildlife. Chishui Bamboo Forest features a combination of bamboo sea, waterfall clusters, pristine forests, wildlife, and unique Danxia landforms, making it an ideal destination for summer retreats, leisure, and vacation tourism.

Location and Transportation
The Chishui Bamboo Forest National Forest Park is located within the jurisdiction of Chishui City in Zunyi Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China. It is approximately 40 kilometers away from the downtown area of Chishui City. Situated alongside the Chishui River, its geographical coordinates range from approximately 105°54’10” to 106°06’30” east longitude and from 28°23’06” to 28°30’19” north latitude.
During the peak season, there are special shuttle buses available from Chishui Bus Station directly to the forest park. In the off-season, visitors can take regular buses from Chishui Bus Station heading towards Zunyi or Xishui. They should get off at Hushi Jinsha Town, which costs around 12 yuan for a bus ticket. From Jinsha, visitors can hire a tricycle to reach the scenic area for about 25 yuan. Alternatively, visitors can arrange for a private charter from Chishui, which typically costs around 150 yuan.

Nanzhu Ridge
Nanzhu Ridge is situated in the central part of the Nanzhuling Scenic Area within the Chishui Bamboo Forest National Forest Park in Guizhou. The ridge extends from west (Leigongbei, with an elevation of 1142.4 meters) to east (Huandanshan, with an elevation of 1074.0 meters), then to the north, merging into the foothills of Jingkou Mountain (with an elevation of 745.6 meters). Nanzhuling serves as the watershed between Xiaoyan Gully and the Chishui River, with a total length of about 8 kilometers. The southern section of the ridge is narrow and steep, while the northern section is wide and gentle. It is named after the predominant vegetation of Chinese nan bamboo (Phyllostachys nuda).
Wuzhu Peak
Wuzhu Peak is located at the eastern end of the Wuzhufen Scenic Area within the Chishui Bamboo Forest National Forest Park in Guizhou. It consists of five solitary peaks aligned in a row, each with a unique shape, representing a concentrated distribution of tower-shaped, pillar-shaped, and peak forest-shaped Danxia landform landscapes.
Moon Rock Waterfall
The Moon Rock Waterfall is situated in the southwestern part of the Bamboo Sea Lake Scenic Area. Positioned at an elevation of 750 meters along the Midstream of Mentou Creek, the waterfall cascades down from the top of a cliff, forming a waterfall approximately 30 meters high and 5 meters wide. It derives its name from the crescent-shaped Danxia arch resembling a moon.
