haihe bund park

Haihe Bund Park (海河外滩公园), located in Tianjin, China, is one of the earliest and most completed projects in the development of the Haihe River. The park features a welcoming promenade stretching 1000 meters with an average width of 9 meters. It extends from the Xinhua Road overpass in the east to the Yuehaiyuan high-rise residential area in the west, bordered by the Liberation Road commercial pedestrian street in the north and the Haihe River in the south. The park’s layout resembles an irregular, trapezoidal belt.

As the earliest developed area along the Haihe River, Tianjin’s waterfront space provides an expansive and open environment, making Haihe Bund Park the largest leisure square in the coastal region. This vast expanse serves as a popular destination for the public to engage in recreational activities and exercise, offering a broad space for relaxation.

In the evening, the park transforms into a beautifully illuminated space with the help of numerous decorative lights both inside and outside the park. Approximately 10,000 sets of ambient and landscape lights are strategically placed to ensure a vibrant and enchanting atmosphere. Furthermore, the park boasts 19 distinct bronze sculptures scattered throughout various sections of the square, each showcasing unique styles and artistic value, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.

Haihe Bund Park not only serves as a recreational hub but also stands as a testament to the city’s commitment to creating aesthetically pleasing public spaces. Its combination of scenic beauty, recreational amenities, and artistic elements makes it a key attraction for both locals and visitors, contributing to the cultural and leisure landscape of Tianjin.
