No.2 Bathing Beach in Qingdao (青岛第二海水浴场) is a charming seaside retreat nestled adjacent to the famous Eight Great Passes villa area. While smaller in size compared to the No.1 Bathing Beach, it offers a tranquil escape for visitors seeking a more secluded beach experience. During the summer months, it operates as a fee-based beach, providing services such as changing rooms and showers for guests’ convenience. However, visitors are free to access the beach during other seasons. Located in the peaceful waters of Taiping Bay, it is also known as “Taipingjiao Bathing Beach.” The beach holds historical significance as the site where the Expanded Meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee was held in 1957, with Chairman Mao Zedong frequently enjoying swims in its waters.
