Spring in Shandong offers a pleasant climate with moist air and the revival of nature. Popular outdoor spots for spring outings include Mount Laoshan in Qingdao and Wulian Mountain in Rizhao. Additionally, visitors can admire cherry blossoms in Zhongshan Park, Qingdao, during the cherry blossom festival, attracting many tourists from both within and outside the province.

Summer is the peak travel season for Shandong, especially in coastal cities like Qingdao, Weihai, and Yantai, which offer cool breezes and stunning scenery. The beaches in these cities are perfect for swimming, though they can be crowded. Hiking Mount Tai in Tai’an during this season allows visitors to breathe in fresh air while enjoying the beautiful landscape.

Autumn is ideal for climbing Mount Tai and enjoying the vibrant fall foliage; it is considered the most beautiful time to experience the mountain. The Confucius Forest and the Confucius Temple in Qufu are also highly recommended for autumn visits.
