Tingtao Scenic Area is situated on the northwest shore of East Lake (Donghu) in Wuhan. The exact address is 1 Donghu Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. To get there, you can choose one of the following ways:
Bus: Take bus 14 or 701 and get off at Huanhu Road East Lake Stop (环湖路东湖站).
Metro: The closest metro station to Tingtao Scenic Area is Liyuan (梨园) on line 8. After getting out of the station from Exit B, walk about 50 meters to the east to reach the attraction.

Xingyin Ge (Recitation Pavilion)
One of the prominent features of Tingtao Scenic Area is the “Xingyin Ge” or “Recitation Pavilion,” which is situated on a small island in the middle of the northwest bank of East Lake. This pavilion was built in 1955 and is surrounded by water on all sides, connected to the mainland by two bridges. Its name is derived from a poem by Qu Yuan (屈原), the renowned poet. Xingyin Ge is constructed from reinforced concrete with a wooden-like appearance, standing at a height of 22.5 meters. Its square plan and three levels with four corner eaves give it an ancient and elegant charm. In front of the pavilion stands a full-body statue of Qu Yuan, measuring 3.6 meters in height on a 3.2-meter base.
