Daqishan National Forest Park (大奇山国家森林公园), situated on the southern bank of the Fuchun River, seamlessly combines the picturesque landscapes of the Jiangnan region with the beauty of grassy plains. The park features mountain ranges, peculiar rock formations, and canyons. The clear and transparent pools reflect the lush greenery, reminiscent of the enchanting scenery found in Jiuzhaigou. Also known as “Saiji Mountain,” Daqishan (Daqi Mountain) holds the historical title of the “Number One Mountain in Jiangnan” and has been a preferred leisure destination for Hangzhou residents throughout history.
The park’s exploration route is straightforward. Visitors enter through the park’s entrance and follow the left-hand trail (Stone Scenery Source Grand Canyon) upwards. Along the way, you would encounter a waterfall at the mountain top. On the return route, turn right at Zhiqing Canal and finally descend from the Sino-Japanese Friendship Forest. The path is nearly devoid of other forks, making it a clockwise circular route along the trail, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic beauty with ease.
