Located in Caidian District, Wuhan, Jiuzhen Mountain (九真山) spans over 3 square kilometers, with its main peak soaring to an elevation of 276 meters, making it the highest peak in the Jianghan Plain. The mountain range features nine peaks intertwined, resembling a floating dragon. Steeped in legend, it is believed to be the dwelling place of Great King Bodhisattva and has historically been regarded as a sacred Taoist site for the Jianghan Plain and its surrounding areas.

During the Song Dynasty, the mountain housed the Jiuzhen Taoist Temple, where nine immortals were said to have resided and practiced alchemy. In ancient times, the temple attracted devout worshippers, and its incense burned brightly. Today, Jiuzhen Mountain is a picturesque landscape with lush vegetation, meandering valleys, babbling mountain springs, and captivating scenery in every season.

Location and Transportation

Jiuzhen Mountain is situated in the core area of Jiuzhen Mountain National Forest Park, located in Caidian District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. To reach the mountain, there is a dedicated bus service running from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, departing and arriving at Hanyang Bus Station. Additionally, on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM, visitors can take a one-day tour shuttle bus from Wuhan (Hankou) Passenger Port Tourism Distribution Center (Terminal of bus 507).

Zhiyin Valley

Nestled within Jiuzhen Mountain is the enchanting Zhiyin Valley, a winding path that spans over a kilometer. This picturesque valley is home to various historical relics showcasing the life of Zhong Ziqi. Ziqi Grass Hut
