Highlights of Mao’er Mountain National Forest Park

Changbai Mountain Botanical Garden: Located on the eastern side of Mao’er Mountain, this botanical garden covers an area of 44 hectares. It boasts dense forests and a wide variety of tree species, making it a great spot for sightseeing and leisure.

Tiger Sculpture Square: At the mountain entrance stands a tiger sculpture on a 3-meter-high base, with the tiger itself measuring 2 meters in height. The calligraphy “Tiger Roars at Changbai” by young artist Yang Qingshan is inscribed on the sculpture, symbolizing the indomitable and courageous spirit admired by the people of Yanbian.

Stone Tower: Originally used as a marker for climbers, each visitor would place a stone to commemorate their visit, with those who placed the most stones taking pride in their achievement. Over time, these stones accumulated to form a tower. The circular shape of the stone tower also symbolizes success and completeness, and it has since become a scenic feature of Mao’er Mountain.

Triangular Marker: At the mountain’s peak, there is a triangular aviation marker that stands over 3 meters tall. Visitors who reach the summit often rest here and circle the marker, three times to the left and three times to the right, silently wishing for health and safety.

Mountain Spring Water: About 3 kilometers southwest from the main entrance of the Folk Village, visitors will find three springs, the best known being Xiami Spring. The cool and pure spring water is a popular spot for tourists to collect and drink water during their visit.
