Shuangyue Bay (Double Moons Bay) – An Untouched Experience

Shuangyue Bay, Huizhou

Shuangyue Bay (双月湾, Double Moons Bay) is formed by two crescent-shaped bays – Daya Bay and Honghai Bay – located adjacent to each other. From an aerial view, they resemble two curved moons, which is how the bay got its name. The left bay is calm and mirror-like, while the right bay features roaring waves, creating a striking contrast between tranquility and energy. Compared to the nearby Xunliao Bay, Shuangyue Bay remains relatively undeveloped, offering a more untouched experience.

Visitors to Shuangyue Bay can enjoy a variety of activities. Groups of friends can gather for beach barbecues, go boating, or participate in water sports. Families can take leisurely walks along the shore to watch the sunset, or opt to stay in seaside accommodations and savor fresh seafood at the upscale Haibaina Restaurant. A must-visit spot is the Shuangyue Bay Observation Deck, which provides breathtaking views of the town, fishing boats, and distant islands, highlighting the beauty of this picturesque coastal town.

For the best experience, it’s important to choose a clear day to appreciate the panoramic views of Shuangyue Bay. The sunsets here are particularly spectacular, as the sun dips below the horizon, casting an orange glow across the sky and sea.
