Wanfeng Lake (万峰湖), also known as Tianshengqiao Reservoir (天生桥水库), is situated at the junction of Guizhou, Yunnan, and Guangxi provinces in China. Covering an area of 176 square kilometers, Wanfeng Lake is a freshwater lake formed by the artificial reservoir created after the construction of the Tianshengqiao High Dam Power Station. Its name, which translates to “Lake of Ten Thousand Peaks,” stems from the numerous surrounding hill peaks. The lake’s surface is vast and tranquil, with a main navigation channel extending 128 kilometers and an average width exceeding 4 kilometers. Its water storage capacity is equivalent to 2 Erhai Lakes in Yunnan, 17 Hongfeng Lake in Qingzhen, Guizhou, and 76 West Lakes in Hangzhou.

Wanfeng Lake boasts over 80 islands and peninsulas, forming naturally scenic vistas. The lake’s abundant fish and pristine waters make it a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts, earning it the reputation of being a “paradise for wild fishing.” The annual China Wanfeng Lake Wild Fishing Championship is held here. The competition park covers a total area of 8 square kilometers, with 5 square kilometers being water area. Facilities include a tourist reception center, fishing service center, plaza, large parking lot, and fishing platforms. Notably, the fishing platforms stretch for 7.46 kilometers with 1000 standard fishing spots, making it the longest and most numerous fishing platform in the world, certified by the Guinness World Records.

Most visitors to Wanfeng Lake opt to embark on boat tours from the Hongchun Pier (红椿码头). As they cruise along the lake, they can enjoy the fresh air, gaze upon the emerald waters, and admire the distant green peaks, creating a serene and enjoyable experience. Along the shores, there are numerous ethnic minority villages, showcasing their unique dwellings, captivating cultures, and the traditional attire and songs of the minority girls, enticing visitors to linger and explore.
