Zhuhai Beach Swimming Area – The Only Free Outdoor Swimming Facility in the City

Zhuhai Beach Swimming Area (珠海海滨泳场) is situated in the middle section of Qinglu Road in Jida, adjacent to the iconic Zhuhai Fisher Girl statue and Haibin Park. It stands out as the only free outdoor swimming facility in the city, making it an accessible and popular destination for both locals and tourists. The area boasts mild sunshine, fine sand, and clear waters, creating a romantic ambiance that is perfect for summer excursions, sightseeing, relaxation, and vacationing.

Every year during the National Day holiday, the beach hosts the “International Beach Music Festival,” an unmissable auditory and visual feast that draws visitors from far and wide. The swimming area is divided into two sections: one designated for swimming and the other featuring various water amusement activities, which generally charge a nominal fee of around several dozen yuan, allowing for plenty of fun.

Surrounding the beach are numerous amenities, including bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, ensuring that visitors have everything they need for a comfortable day by the sea. In recent years, the beach has seen significant upgrades, with renovations to the entrance plaza, walkways, fountains, public restrooms, and changing rooms. Additionally, six free outdoor showers have been installed on either side of the swimming area, enhancing convenience for residents and tourists alike.

Zhuhai Beach Swimming Area is located at No. 89, Qinglu Middle Road, in the Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China. To get there, you can take bus 9 or 99 and get off at Beach Swimming Area stop (海滨泳场站, Haibin Yongchang Stop).
