Highlights of Changchun Movie Wonderland

Huaxia Soaring: Located in the southwest corner, this is a flying dome theater and one of the park’s signature attractions. Designed by the same team involved in the National Grand Theater and Bird’s Nest, it features a steel structure with a spherical shape. The film shown here, created by a team including the special effects cinematographer from The Lord of the Rings, showcases China’s stunning landscapes. Visitors experience 180-degree rotation, soaring up to the height of a five-story building, with their feet suspended in the air, simulating flight over mountains and rivers, rapid descents, and thrilling time shifts.

Space Maze: Situated in the northern part of the park, this 3D cinema experience tells the story of Alexander the Great and the mysterious Golden Coffin. With immersive scenes like Alexander’s palace, millennium-old ice corpses, cosmic black holes, and epic battles, visitors are drawn into an adventure without the need for 3D glasses.

Zombie Hospital: This horror-themed attraction, located in the central area, only opens during the summer night sessions. Set in a dark, eerie basement, it differs from traditional haunted houses by featuring real actors playing the roles of zombies and monsters instead of static models, adding a terrifyingly realistic element.

Giant Screen Theater: Resembling an iceberg, this theater is located in the southwest part of the park. It has a seating capacity of 400 and boasts a massive screen measuring 18 meters high and 25 meters wide. Combined with a 6.1 surround sound system and stunning 3D effects, it offers an unforgettable viewing experience.

Star Trek Adventure: In the northwest corner, this motion cinema combines dynamic motion technology with a dome screen. The seats have six degrees of freedom, and with a 25-meter diameter semi-spherical silver screen, visitors are immersed in an exhilarating intergalactic adventure.

Extraordinary Lab: Centrally located, this 3D special effects experience was custom-designed for the park by a U.S. company. It offers an immersive atmosphere using visual, olfactory, auditory, and tactile effects to engage visitors on multiple sensory levels.

Fairy Kingdom: Also in the center, this cinema combines lasers, floating music, and animation. All the equipment is imported from Germany, creating an enchanting experience for children and families.

Volcano Eruption: Located in the northern part of the park, this attraction simulates a Mayan city engulfed by natural disasters. Visitors experience scenes of lava, mountains, volcanoes, thunderstorms, lightning, earthquakes, rolling rocks, collapsing walls, and tornadoes, all brought to life with impressive visual effects.

Stellar Shift: Positioned on the west side of the park, this building has a unique “upside-down” design. It uses light and shadow to reveal the secrets of flight in cinema, showcasing how special effects create flying illusions.

Castle of Horror: Also on the west side, this spooky attraction features witches, guardians, vampires, zombies, tombs, and ghosts. It uses sound, visual, and tactile effects to build an intense, eerie atmosphere.

Galaxy Palace: In the southeast section, this exhibit showcases the behind-the-scenes magic of special effects, revealing how movie stunts and visual effects are created.

Hero Show Arena: Located on the west side, this action-packed performance features car chases, explosions, gunfights, and wirework, re-enacting famous scenes from Chinese movies like Plain Guerrilla and Heroic Sons and Daughters. The large-scale stunts and thrilling choreography tell an epic story of heroism.

Speed Shuttle: Situated in the northeast corner, this space-themed attraction features a blue sky exterior and showcases scenes involving spacecraft like Shenzhou, space stations, meteors, and UFOs.

Changchun Movie Prop Car Exhibition: Located on the eastern side, this exhibition displays a collection of vintage vehicles used in classic films produced by the Changchun Film Studio, offering a nostalgic look at cinematic history.
