Highlights of Liupan Mountain National Forest Park
Yehe Valley (Wild Lotus Valley)

Yehe Valley stretches approximately 10 kilometers, flanked by sheer cliffs on both sides. The valley is rich with wild Huashan pines adorning the rocky cliffs, while the gentle slopes and valley floor are covered with oil pines and larch forests. The riverbed is home to the aquatic wild plant known as Da Huang Ruan Wu, or wild lotus. At the end of the valley lies a stunning ice waterfall. The winding path along the riverbed is historically significant, known as the Jitou Path, which was traveled by Emperor Qin Shi Huang during his inspections.
Xiaonanchuan Scenic Area

Xiaonanchuan is the crown jewel of Liupan Mountain and serves as one of the main sources of the Jing River. The area features attractions such as Ancient Tree Pool, Xiangsi Water, Birch Bend, Red Birch Forest, Flying Waterfalls, and Dragon Girl Taking a Bath. The picturesque flowing streams and waterfalls have earned Xiaonanchuan the nickname “Little Jiuzhaigou,” highlighting its breathtaking natural beauty.
Liangdian Gorge (Cool Palace Gorge)

Liangdian Gorge is renowned as a military encampment for the legendary leader Genghis Khan. Its name translates to “Cool Gorge,” reflecting the refreshing atmosphere within. This impressive gorge, located deep within Liupan Mountain, extends about 20 kilometers in length and is characterized by dense, shady vegetation and spectacular natural formations.
