The Yangtze River Cableway spans the Yangtze River, connecting the northern part of the city to the southern part. The cableway’s terminals are located at two distinct points: the northern terminal is situated in the Yuzhong District, near the famous Chaotianmen Square, while the southern terminal is located in the Nan’an District.
To the north end (Chaotianmen):
- Bus: Take bus 476, 0491, 0492, 871, or 881 and get off at Xinhua Road Stop (新华路站). Or take Tourist line T001, T002, T480, or T035 and get off at Yangtze River Cable Way North End Stop (长江索道北站)
- Metro: The closest metro station to the north end of Yangtze River Cableway is Xiaoshizi (小什字) on line 1 and line 6. After getting out of the station from Exit 5B, you will be standing right at the ticket office of the cableway.
To the south end (Nan’an Area):
- Bus: Take bus 304, 318, 320, 0321, 321, 354, or 376, get off at Longmenhao Stop (龙门浩站), and walk about 100 meters to the west to reach the cableway.
- Metro: The closest metro station to the south end of the Yangtze River Cableway is Shangxin Street (上新街) on line 6 and the Ring Line. After getting out of the station from Exit 2, walk about 500 meters to the south to reach the cableway.
